Rules for using the Embassy’s official website: value of the information, forms, intellectual property, liability.
Purpose
This website is the official website of the Embassy of Burkina Faso in India. It informs Burkinabè nationals, Indian citizens and the public about consular services, bilateral cooperation and the activities of the mission. Using the website implies acceptance of these terms.
Value of the information
The information published (required documents, fees, opening hours, processing times) is indicative and updated with the greatest care. It does not replace the regulations in force, which alone are authoritative. Consular fees may change without notice; the applicable amount is the one in force on the day the application is submitted.
Use of the forms
- You undertake to provide accurate information and not to impersonate anyone.
- A confirmed appointment is a commitment: if you cannot attend, use the cancellation or change link received by e-mail so that the slot is released.
- Announcements proposed by members of the community are published after review by the Embassy, which may refuse or remove them without justification. Any announcement asking for an advance payment, misleading, discriminatory or unlawful is refused. The Embassy is not a party to any transaction that may result from them.
- Requests sent through the website are not an official filing: files are submitted at the counter, with the originals.
Intellectual property
Texts, photographs, coat of arms and graphic elements belong to the Embassy or to their authors. Official texts (notices, press releases, forms) may be reproduced freely with mention of the source. Any other reuse requires written permission.
Links to other websites
The website links to institutions of Burkina Faso and India. The Embassy is not responsible for their content or availability.
Liability
The Embassy strives to keep the website available and accurate, without being able to guarantee it. It cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the website, a service interruption or a content error.
Changes
These terms may be changed at any time; the online version is the only applicable one. Last update: 18 October 2026.
Applicable law
The website is published by a diplomatic mission of the State of Burkina Faso. These terms are governed by the law of Burkina Faso, without prejudice to the privileges and immunities granted to diplomatic missions by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961).
